Water goes back to Ain al-Souda after rehabilitation project of the water station implemented by IhsanRD

Ihsan for Relief and Development team rehabilitated the Ein El-Souda water station in the western region of Idlib, in addition to rehabilitation of the water network within the town and supporting the operating of the station with fuel and chlorine for five months.
The water station serves the town of Ain al-Souda and the town of Ein al-Bardeh, with a population of about 9000 citizens.
In order to rehabilitate the Ain-Al-Suda water station, the project team carried out a number of activities including: Provision and installation of Generator 200 KVA with fuel tanks, 100KVA power transformer, installation of fuel tanks, supplying sterilization systems with the necessary materials and installation of electrical control panels.
In addition to rehabilitating the water station and the water network, the project includes activating the collection system of water revenues through the installation of household meters and training of the station cadres on the collection and operation system and the necessary periodic maintenance to ensure that the station is still working properly after the end of the support period.

Closing the second session of Women’s Support Center in Jarabulus

The Women’s Support Center in Grapples ended its second session with a closing ceremony, where the graduating participants in this session were honored and presented some of their works.
The number of women and girls reached through the activities of the center during 2nd session was 1800 girls and women.
499 women and girls attended the training classes within the center in wool knitting, hairdressing, learning English language and computer skills in addition to psychosocial support sessions.
While about 1,380 women and girls were reached through the Center’s outreach and recreation activities.

Open Day activities at Women’s Creativity Support Center in Armnaz – Idleb.
Women’s Creativity Support Center in Armnaz concluded the fourth session yesterday with the establishment of an open day with various activities provided by the participants. The ceremony was attended by 342 women who participated for two months in the Center’s activities, Where every two months at the Center for the support of women’s creativity in the city of Armanaz conduct a new cycle of courses held at the Center on two levels. The first level includes professional and practical courses which allow the participants to learn the skills of wool and handicrafts, attend literacy courses, learn English and computer skills, first aid principles and hairdressing skills. On the second level, participants attend courses in psychosocial support and learning life skills.

The center hosts 416 children who visit the center on a regular basis during two months, classrooms within the center are varying between playing, creativity, sports and psychosocial support for children.

A new project by Ihsan to support the agriculture in Idleb

Through its Food Security and Livelihoods Program, Ihsan aims to achieve self-sufficiency for local communities in Syria and to mitigate the impact of the war on both civilians and farmers.
Within the activities of supporting the Agriculture Sector Ihsan for Relief and Development has provided agricultural support vouchers to 1000 farmers in 20 villages in northern countryside of Idleb, in addition to providing drip irrigation systems for the farmers.

In a daily basis, Ihsan team in Jisr Al-Shughour continues to distribute bread to the people within the activities of Food Security and Livelihoods program in Idleb governorate, where 2000 bread bags are being distributed every day in Jisr Al-Shughour in addition to daily distribute other 2000 bread bags in Kafarnabal area.
This project is delivered in collaboration with WHH and funded by the German Foreign Office in order to support the resilience of civilians within the project areas who are suffering from the impact of war in Syria.

Child’s Friend Center in Taqad continues to hold activities for children in its fifth scheduled session

Child’s Friend Center in Aleppo western countryside – Taqad, which operated by Ihsan, continues to hold activities for children in its fifth scheduled session which lasts for two months with 520 children committed to attending psychosocial support, creativity, sports and play rooms.
Beside providing the entertainment activities within the center, the mobile team is also reaching out the children in the surrounding areas of Taqad village.

Eight-hundred farmers are part of new Ihsan project with WHH in western rural of Aleppo

As part of Food Security and Livelihood Program, Ihsan for Relief and Development in collaboration with WHH has launched a new project to support agriculture in Western Aleppo countryside in the north of Syria. This project aims to provide 800 farmers with vouchers to purchase various agricultural inputs from the contracted suppliers within project areas.
The project is being funded by the German Foreign Office in order to support the Syrian farmers’ resilience and alleviate their financial burdens they are suffering from due to the ongoing war’s circumstances.
