A team from the #UnitedNations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) recently visited the Harbanoush General Protection Center to gain insights into the project’s progress and #challenges.
During this visit, the team discussed with the center’s staff and received a detailed overview of its operations. The team also had discussions with both #male and #female beneficiaries to gather feedback and identify areas of improvement. The continued work through this community center is highly important in order to provide protection services and assistance to #people in #northwest Syria.

With the aim of helping women and girls rid themselves of negative emotions and enhance their ability to adapt to the difficult circumstances due to the recent bombardment of #Idlib and its countryside, our teams provided psychosocial support sessions in the city of #Salqin. Additionally, 50 #hygiene #kits containing essential items for women and girls were distributed, such as personal hygiene items, laundry detergents, wipes, and other necessary supplies.

In Pink October, #BreastCancer Awareness Month, we remember our colleague Intisar Badawi, the director of the Women’s #Empowerment Center in Azaz, who dedicated her life to supporting women in her community.
When Intisar was diagnosed with #cancer, she did not give up; she fought the disease and continued to work until her last day.
Intisar Badawi was a symbol of #strength and #hope. She may have left our world, but she left behind a legacy of work and perseverance to inspire those who knew her.

The Women’s Creativity Center in Armanaz is organizing a sewing training program for 40 women from the region. The training includes learning the basics of fashion design and sewing.
Since the beginning of the year, more than 300 women in Armanaz have benefited from this training, which contributes to empowering women professionally and economically and improves their living conditions by acquiring the skills necessary to start their own businesses.

Over 250 enthusiastic students at Al-Itqan Center in Harim joined the Back-to-School campaign. This special initiative highlighted the significance of education, school attendance, and the value of summer classes to bridge the learning gaps caused by the earthquake’s impact.
The campaign also focused on health awareness, promoting cleanliness to avoid diseases and epidemics.
Al-Itqan Center started over 4 years ago with the concept of a mobile teacher, which later evolved into an educational tent and now a center that enriches the lives of hundreds of students every year.
